對於柯建銘遭到勞團推打，民進黨團幹部一屏東縣崁頂鄉借錢管道 字排開舉行記者會，同聲譴責暴力，認為暴力的違法行為會讓民主倒退，也只會讓社會對話的空間變小，「勞基法」相關修法不會因為暴力而變的更好，只會激化更多對立，人民表達自由意見的權利不能無限上綱。民進黨團幹事長吳秉叡說：『(原音)大家看到活生生的一幕，覺得民主政治如果少數的人表達意見要用這麼激烈的方式，使得可以好好討論意見的空間變的很小，這是大家所不樂見的，民進黨團再次表達嚴正的譴責。』

另外，民進黨中央隨後也舉行記者會力挺柯建銘，對勞團的暴力抗爭強烈譴責，並強調社會不會接受這種意見表達的方式。民進黨呼籲勞團約束成員行為，並立即向柯建銘誠意道歉，也呼籲檢警對於違法行徑立即偵辦。
